About Rewired Woman Podcast

We’re ELATED you’re here, Brainy Babe!

First things first, we want to be clear, this isn’t your average neuroscience podcast.

Our goal is to give you interesting and important information to live your best life without boring you to death, overloading you with countless protocols, or dumping facts you think are cool, but let’s be honest…will definitely forget 3 minutes after the episode is done.

Our approach is grounded in storytelling, exploration, and FUN. Think Magic School Bus for GROWN ASS LADIES (of the night court).

Each episode, we pick a topic, review the research, and bring you evidence-based insights and tools with a feminine lens mixed with a little woo woo, nuance, speculation, endless laughs, and usually Mads crying about something.

We prepare for each episode by deep-diving the current scientific literature, but DO NOT script or know the talking points or perspectives we’re each bringing to the mic. This way, you get to be a little nosy fly on the wall in our (informed yet) totally authentic conversations. This allows for banter, shock, surprise, and a whole hell of a lot of LAUGHS.

We do our best to avoid a lecture-style experience while maintaining the integrity of our information. We include all references in our show notes if you want to dig more into specific topics.

Oh yah, before we forget…we’re your hosts, Kat and Mads.

We’re real-life BFF’s that met in college while studying Neuroscience, navigating the perils of young adulthood, and fighting mental health challenges (more of our story in episode 1, Neuroscience of Suicide Prevention).

Our journeys to healing, self-love, and unbreakable friendship created Rewired Woman Podcast.

A place to explore our most pressing thoughts and questions, see what the science says, how our intuitions respond, and how we can apply these findings to live more meaningful, magical lives.

Join us for science-backed support, soulful reminders, and personal stories to feel safer in your body, more confident in your choices, and powerful in your purpose.

Because understanding your nervous system is the ultimate tool to becoming the woman you WANT to be…. and way more fun when we do it together!

XOXO,

Kat and Mads

P.S. We’re an independent podcast. We research, record, edit, produce, and manage everything (including our social media) ourselves! Please support us by following/subscribing, rating/reviewing, and most importantly SHARING with friends if you enjoy our content. You have nooooo idea how crucial this is for us :)

Meet Kat

Katrina Bras, B.S. in Neuroscience and MSW Student.

Kat is a drug and alcohol counselor and spiritual explorer/wanderer. Kat draws on her personal experiences in navigating her own inner work and spiritual journey as a lens for exploring the curiosities of femininity, health and emotional wellbeing.

In her time working at the University of Pittsburgh, Kat co-authored multiple neuroscience publications. She directly investigated the connections between chemical pollutants and Parkinson’s Disease and attempted new treatments for central nervous system tumors.

Currently she is a drug and alcohol counselor for an in-patient rehab facility. In her work she draws heavily on her own experiences with addiction, trauma, and BPD to better understand her clients and help them to develop healthy coping skills on their path to recovery.

One of Kat’s passions in life is spiritual discovery. She has had the life changing experience of taking part in a family constellation reading which inspired her to pursue certification in leading her own family constellation readings through the Hellinger Institute. She enjoys researching horoscopes for herself and loved ones and reading Tarot cards. Her deep spirituality has been an important lens for exploring the curiosities of femininity, health and emotional wellbeing.

Meet Mads

Madeline Rose, RYT-500, B.S. Neuroscience

Mads is a Certified Life Coach, meditation and breathwork facilitator, founder of The Balanced Rose and co-host of The Rewired Woman Podcast: The Neuroscience of Womanhood.

Mads blends evidence-based and intuitive practices to help women transform from the inside out. She is currently focused on body neutrality, self-acceptance, and helping women embrace their fullest, sexiest, most joyful lives right now!

As a 6/2 Generator in Human Design with Sacral Authority, she brings grounded wisdom, magnetic energy, and deep intuitive insight to every conversation. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing happens when we feel safe in our bodies, connected to our purpose, and free to be our whole, radiant selves.

Whether she’s guiding a breathwork session, reading neuroscience articles for fun, or laughing with her friends about why we sabotage good things, Mads creates spaces where women feel seen, supported, and spiritually activated. Her approach is powerful yet gentle, always balancing evidence-based practices, mindfulness, somatic work, and a touch of magic to help women rewire the beliefs, patterns, and energy holding them back.

When she’s not yapping, teaching, or podcasting, you’ll find her walking her Mini Schnoodle Stax, sipping a Honey Lavender Oatmilk Latte in a cozy cafe, or dancing barefoot under the moon… and probably listening to a Zodiac Academy book…again.
